Dancing With the Stars won't air on Tuesday, Nov. 5 (Find out why)
Dancing With the Stars season 33 has been on a roll with some amazing celebrity couples and spectacular performances. As much as we have been enjoying the episodes, we unfortunately won’t get to see what is happening for week 8 on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Why is there no new episode of the ABC dance competition series?
Due to the U.S. Presidential Elections, there will not be a brand-new episode airing that night. Instead, there will be election coverage running through the night, interrupting normal broadcasts. However, we won’t have to wait too long for a new episode!
The next episode of DWtS is due to air on Tuesday, Nov. 12. What makes this episode so exciting for fans is that not only is the episode where we will find out who is going to the semi-finals, but it is also the show’s 500th episode.
The dances that we will see that night will include a Quickstep, Contemporary, Argentine Tango, and Vienesse Waltz.
What can we expect to see when the next episode of Dancing With the Stars returns on Nov. 12?
In the opening number, the pro dancers will be performing to the song that opened the show’s first episode, which was Jay-Z and Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love.” There will be two dances performed for the night, with the first one being tributes to memorable performances from the show’s history.
It’s hard to believe there have been 500 episodes that have aired since the show premiered in 2005! There have been some incredible performances over the years so we can't wait to see how the celebrities this season pay tribute to the ones chosen!
Plus, for the second routine, the dancers will have to perform an “Instant Dance Challenge,” meaning they won’t know what they are dancing to until just minutes before they begin performing. We're curious to see how well they do, especially if they have to figure out what to do with such a short amount of time.
After the performances, we will find out who will make it to the semi-finals! We can’t believe we’re already close to the end! But luckily there is time to vote for our favorites to make it. Voting opens during the ET/CT timezone broadcast of the show and fans can also vote online. Plus, during those hours, fans can also text the first name of their favorite celebrity to 21523. You can vote up to 10 times per couple.
If you need to catch up on any of the episodes from this season, the episodes are also available on Hulu.
