Deal or No Deal Island season 2 isn't letting up with the surprises. However, this one wasn't really a surprise to us as viewers.

Dr. Will continues to make the game his own in Deal or No Deal Island season 2, episode 5. Not everyone likes him, and they may start gunning for him.

Caution: this post contains SPOILERS from Deal or No Deal Island season 2, episode 5.

Following on from the shocking turn of events in episode 4 with Dickson choosing to eliminate Storm, the two sides of the camp found themselves more divided than ever. The Family has proven to remain strong, and now the other side wants to wipe them out one by one.

They get the opportunity to do that when Dr. Will ends up playing The Banker. Dr. Will had a game up his sleeve, viewing Dickson as a weasel for his actions at Temple the night before. It didn’t fully play out the way he intended, but that was okay for Dr. Will. He had the groups of people focusing on the wrong things and not the games he was playing.

While playing The Banker, Dr. Will chose to accept the first deal that happened, much to everyone’s surprise. However, there was a twist. Will knows the rules better than absolutely anyone in the game, and he pointed it all out to host Joe Manganiello.

Joe didn’t ask “deal or no deal,” which meant that when Will “accepted” the deal, it wasn’t a real decision. Will had a chance to hear everyone’s thoughts on the matter in a manipulative way. Joe had to concede that Will was right, so once he asked the question, Will said no and the strange game continued. Will wasn’t in this for winning the money. He was getting more of a read on others in the game.

I found it tactical and interesting. It made for some great TV, but it wasn’t fun for those in the game wanting to build the prize fund. In the end, Dr. Will accepted the second deal after wiping out the left side of the board, and it was a good deal. His briefcase was lower than the deal he accepted, so he got to choose who would go home.

When Dr. Will asked Lete to put him up against The Banker, it was with the promise that he would vote out Maria Grace, aka MG. Of course, Dickson promised Dr. Will during the previous episode that he would vote out CK and then he ended up voting out Storm. We had to wonder whether Will would do the same thing.

With the way Will viewed Dickson as a weasel, it would have been surprising for Will to go against his word. So it wasn’t all that surprising that he ended up voting out MG, despite everyone expecting him to go for CK.

While he played a weird game, his loyalty to those outside of The Family will likely be remembered. He has proven himself trustworthy to them by sticking to voting out MG.

This has broken up The Family, and I’m glad. Parvati and David are insufferable. Having their confidence knocked a little by losing one of their own is certainly entertaining. Dr. Will knew that this would put a target on his back, but he doesn’t seem to be worried. I think the other side of the players will view him as a little more trustworthy than The Family.
