It’s everyone’s worst nightmare when they’re on a boat. The Odyssey is dead in the water with sharks all around them. Is there any hope in Doctor Odyssey season 1, episode 10?
The series returned from its winter break with an intense episode that involved sharks and orcas. With multiple people needing life-saving surgery, the Great White taking out all the electrical systems is an absolute nightmare. Captain Massey makes it clear that not only can they not get out of the waters, but they also can’t send a distress signal.
It’s going to be up to some of the Odyssey’s own to put their lives on the line to save the day. It’s only a two-hour boat ride, so it should be fine, right?
Avery volunteers herself in Doctor Odyssey season 1, episode 10
The only way for the ship to get help is for someone to head out in search for that help. After all, the electrical systems being knocked out has led to the entire radio system being knocked out. They can’t ask for help, and nobody probably thought of sending out some sort of message beforehand in the hope of alerting people to a potential issue.
So, it’s time to use the lifeboats. Avery notes that it’s only a two-hour boat ride to land. She can go out and get help. Why her when she could be useful in the surgery room? I guess she needs to get away from the jealousy that she’s feeling since Max is happy to move on—in her eyes. We know what’s really going on!
Well, Avery isn’t getting away from the entire situation. Brooke is joining her on the lifeboat, along with the guy who knows everything about sharks—I actually really enjoyed the Sheldon-like character spouting out facts, so he’s going to offer some comedic relief in the new episode. Of course, things go wrong with the lifeboat losing power as well. What is it with everything losing power?
