CIA was intended to start on FBI with a “backdoor pilot” episode, much like how FBI: Most Wanted began. That changed due to various reasons, so CIA launched in early 2026 as a stand-alone show.
From the start, the series has shown links to FBI with Jeremy Sisto reprising his role as Jubal Early. It’s Jubal who assigns FBI agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) to partner with CIA officer Colin Glass (Tom Ellis). Bill’s real assignment is to see if there’s a mole inside the CIA office.
The crossovers have continued, as a recent FBI episode had CIA division chief Nikki Reynard (Necar Zadegan) popping in to help on a case. Now, the April 13 episode of CIA will have the first big crossover as Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) and Isobel Castille (Alana De La Garza) team up to help on a case!

Per the episode description, “Elimination Game” has a simple security detail for a soccer game that leads Colin and Bill into a dangerous hunt that requires Maggie and Isobel’s help.
“When handling security for an international soccer game, a bomb threat leads Colin and Bill to two players who are being hunted after they go missing. As the case evolves, the team leans on FBI’s Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille (Alana De La Garza) and Special Agent Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) for assistance.”
The pics show Maggie working alongside Bill and Colin while Isobelle is in the CIA offices. It’s interesting, as it’s established that Bill has worked with both Maggie and her partner OA (Zeeko Zaki) in the past, so the two get along well.

Speaking to TV Insider, Peregrym hinted at how that dynamic will work into the story as Maggie is more of a guest star but still involved in the case.
“I just see the dynamic between them and I’m like, ‘Ooh, this is a tough place to be when you can’t really trust your partner. Bill’s on our side. He’s FBI. We understand the rules, we get it. I can see what’s happening with Colin. And I’m like, ‘Oh, this guy’s off the rails a bit.’ And so I feel sorry for Bill, but I’m also like, ‘You just need to find a way to figure this out. You’ve got to find a way to work together, and it’s not going to be forever that you’re in this situation.’ But I feel bad for him. I’m just trying to support him in his situation, essentially.”
The partnership between Bill and Colin is still complex, as Colin doesn’t know if he can trust his CIA partner yet. He may have reason, as unbeknownst to his partner, Bill has a secret family even as he plays his spy games. That’s not mentioning the hunt for a mole, where everyone is a suspect.
It’s not a full-fledged crossover where the two shows work the same case. However, Maggie’s presence should fire up this CIA episode, linking the series together and making fans happy to see the two casts bond more!
CIA airs Monday April 13 at 10/9c on CBS.
