The FBIs and the NCIS mothership episode counts have been (somewhat) confirmed
Due to the writer’s strike last year, many of our returning shows had a reduced episode count. Now as we get back into the regular schedule, what does this mean for shows like NCIS and FBI? How many episodes can we expect to see for the 2024-2025 season?
Now while there is not a set number for any of the shows, TVLine did report that fans would not be disappointed with the amount of episodes. From the sounds of things, there will be more than 10 episodes than the shortened previous seasons.
For NCIS in particular, there were only 10 episodes, which included a tribute episode to the late David McCallum. Then the finale set up a possible exit for Agent Jessica Knight, although recent information as confirmed that we will see actress Katrina Law in season 22.
How many episodes will be in NCIS season 22?
In fact, even though the showrunner, Steven D. Binder, told TVLine that “we’re going to have a nice season,” he did not verify the episode count. However, since the crew has had more time to work on the series instead of having a shorter turnaround time, they likely will be able to give audiences more episodes than they were able to when the 23-24 television season was airing.
There have been at least 20-22 episodes of NCIS the last few years, if you don’t count the pandemic and the writer’s strike. So if things hold true, we may have a decent amount of episodes in season 22 beginning on Monday, Oct. 14.
How many episodes will be in all of the FBI shows?
As for all three of the FBI shows, which return on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2024, all we know so far is that they have received “full-season orders.” Season 5 of FBI was the last season to have a full 23 episodes, so it is possible we will have a similar amount for season 7. Season 2 of FBI: International had 22 episodes and FBI: Most Wanted season 4 had 22 episodes. The following seasons for those shows were also shortened due to the strike.
Even though we don’t have episode counts confirmed yet, it is clear we should get to see them all in full. So we can enjoy our favorite characters for the entire seasons they are on screen.
Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more updates as we continue coverage for the NCIS and FBI shows. You can catch up on previous episodes of both programs on Paramount+.
