FBI might not have been impacted by March Madness like some of CBS’s other hit dramas in recent weeks, but the show is about to be impacted by special programming, which will prevent it from airing an episode on April 6.
As CBS gears up for the end of The Neighborhood, the network is bringing fans of the hit comedy a one-hour retrospective special celebrating the show’s legacy. Following a new episode of The Neighborhood at 8/7c, CBS will give the fans a chance to reflect on the show’s legacy in The Neighborhood: A Farewell Special, airing at 8:30/7:30c. This will be followed by a rerun of The Neighborhood at 9:30/8:30c, with a CIA rerun closing out the night at 10/9c.
While there is no new episode of FBI airing on April 6 or a rerun for fans to enjoy, there is some good news for fans. This will be the final break for FBI this season, meaning that once the show returns on April 13, fans can expect six weeks of uninterrupted episodes to end the season!
That’s right, we just have to get through this last break in the season, and then we’ll be able to enjoy the remaining six episodes of FBI season 8 without any further interruptions. This means we’ll be able to enjoy the final episodes of the season without the show taking any further weeks off with the following schedule plan in place for the remaining episodes:
- Monday, April 13 - Season 8, Episode 17
- Monday, April 20 - Season 8, Episode 18
- Monday, April 27 - Seaso 8, Episode 19
- Monday, May 4 - Season 8, Episode 20
- Monday, May 11 - Season 8, Episode 21
- Monday, May 18 - Season 8, Episode 22 (Finale)
At this time, CBS has not revealed much about the final episodes, but we do know that the final episodes of the season will see sparks flying for one agent on the team. In episode 17, OA will begin building a connection with Special Agent Zara Ushruf with the pair growing close while working on the case together. Said case will involve the team investigating the murder of a VA psychiatrist who was tortured before their death.
Fans are eager to see if the connection might evolve into something serious, but we're just thrilled to see OA putting himself back out there following his breakup with Gemma earlier this season. Given this is his first relationship following the breakup, this might just be a rebound, but we're excited to see where things go.
We're also excited to see where the season's final episodes take us, as we're certainly in for some eventful episodes as season 8 comes to a close. The show also has a tendency to end the season with some major cliffhangers, so there is no telling what the writers might be cooking up for the season 8 finale. Let's just hope that this year's finale won't end with anyone's life up in the air as was the case with the season 7 finale last May!
