The FBI shows return in January, but later than normal

The FBI shows are on their winter breaks, but they will return soon. It's just a little later in January than we would like.

“They Paid More” – When a bus full of American volunteers is hijacked in a dangerous section of Morocco, the Fly Team works to locate the missing aid workers and the people who kidnapped them, on FBI: INTERNATIONAL, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs). It’s that time of year. All the network shows are taking time off for the winter, and that includes the FBI shows. All three shows are on a break for the rest of 2024, and we’ll get to see them return in 2025.

Most fall shows take a break in November and December. They then return in January, and we’re used to seeing them return by the middle of the month. That’s not happening this time. Instead, we’ll have to wait until the end of the month for CBS shows to make their return.

Perfect
“Perfect” – The team is called in to track down a serial killer after the bodies of multiple women with the same physical description are found scattered across the city. Meanwhile, Maggie juggles her roles as a guardian to Ella and an FBI agent, on FBI, Tuesday, Dec. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

When will FBI return with new episodes?

FBI season 7, episode 9 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8/7c. There aren’t many details about the episode, but we do know that we’ll need to see the series pick up on OA’s storyline after learning that Clay had played him and turned his back on everything that he once stood for. OA had to make the choice to kill Clay to protect himself.

We’ll also see Scola continue the search for a new partner. Syd isn’t sticking around as initially planned, and that means a bigger story of Scola finding a permanent partner now that Tiffany Wallace has gone.

Wen will FBI: International return with new episodes

Then there’s FBI: International, which will also return on Tuesday, Jan. 28. This episode will air at 9/8c on CBS, and there is a lot to look forward to when the series returns.

The big question right now is whether Cameron Vo will make it through surgery. I think she will as the show can’t lose another OG character at this point. However, it’s likely to be touch and go. This storyline is going to lead to Wes Mitchell and Tyler Booth surely in a position to take some vigilante justice against Csonka.

Varsity Blues
“Varsity Blues” – The Fugitive Task Force is called in to hunt down a missing teen from New Jersey who has a connection to a classmate’s recent suicide. Meanwhile, Cora feels Ray and his father are putting too much pressure on Caleb, on FBI: MOST WANTED, Tuesday, Oct. 22 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs).

When will FBI: Most Wanted return on CBS?

Finally, we have FBI: Most Wanted season 6, episode 9. That series will return at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, Jan. 28, straight after the other two FBI shows.

This series doesn’t have a big case to continue when the series returns. However, there is the personal storyline for Remy for us to pick up on. He wanted to take the next step with Abby, but she decided she needed to take a step back whenever she was in town.

While the return dates for the three shows are later in January than they’d like, this is actually a good thing. With the return dates being in late January, it means there are fewer weeks until the middle of May to cover with new episodes. This helps to reduce the number of breaks in the schedule, keeping the consistency of the three shows.

The FBI shows return on Tuesday, Jan. 28 starting at 8/7c on CBS.
