While the streaming era has plenty of upsides, like being able to watch hundreds of television series from past and present at the press of a button, there's also some obvious downsides. There are plenty of shows that aren't available to stream on a major service, and even if certain shows do become available, you can't guarantee how long their tenure will last.
Unfortunately, that leads to dozens upon dozens of beloved hits either moving between streaming services or becoming lost in the shuffle of an ever-changing entertainment industry. In particular, some of The WB's most beloved hits, aside from the network's timeless classics, are impossible to find on a legitimate streamer, but in April 2026, that changes for one little show.
The WB's Jack & Bobby begins streaming on Hulu in April 2026
As announced by TV Line, The WB drama series Jack & Bobby will make its major streaming debut on Hulu beginning on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Don't worry, that's not an April Fool's Joke. They wouldn't lie to us about something this exciting! In the past, the series has been available on various on-demand platforms, mostly for purchase, but this will be its first modern-era streaming bow.
Jack & Bobby star Matt Long, who television fans likely best know as Zeke from Manifest these days, shared the thrilling news of the show's imminent comeback on Instagram along with a touching message about his time on the canceled-too-soon series. "It really was a great show and I am still so proud of it. It’s been completely unavailable for just about 2 decades so now’s your chance to go check it out," Long wrong in the caption.
He's not exaggerating when he says Jack & Bobby has been mostly forgotten for basically two decades. The WB debuted the series, which comes from co-creator Greg Berlanti, in September 2004. Its debut was strong enough that the series produced a full 22-episode season, but The WB ultimately opted to cancel the show after one season one week after its finale in May 2005.
Attempting to branch out beyond the mostly young, teenage audience the network had cultivated with shows like Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Felicity, Gilmore Girls, and more, Jack & Bobby boasted a more matured theme. Even though it centered on the titular teenager Jack (Matt Long) and his younger brother Bobby (Logan Lerman), there was a political, family tilt, which was an intentional nod to President Kennedy and his brother Robert.
The whole conceit of the series was that one of the brothers would end up becoming the President of the United States in the year 2041. (For those who haven't watched the show, we won't spoil the reveal that happens at the end of the first episode.) Flash forward sequences include interviews from a future documentary series about President McCallister, while flashbacks focus on their formative years.
Jack & Bobby also stars Christine Lahti, Jessica Paré, Edwin Hodge, John Slattery, Keri Lynn Pratt, and Bradley Cooper (you might have heard of him), along with recurring roles from Cam Gigandet, Kyle Gallner, Kate Mara, John Heard, and Ed Begley, Jr. So many familiar faces pop up throughout the gone-too-soon series that it'll make you wish the show had never been canceled.
