Jay’s restaurant is close to opening, but Flower isn’t the only one potentially causing a problem in Ghosts season 4, episode 12.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Ghosts season 4, episode 12.
The episode opens with us in the past, when Flower was still alive. While in her cult, we find out that the cult leader used a piece of “moon rock” to lead the people. When Flower asks if the world will end “next week,” the leader decides to turn to the “moon rock” again. He learns that the world will end on Feb. 13, 2025.
Flower needs to stop the restaurant opening in Ghosts season 4, episode 12
Flower tells Sam that the date of the restaurant opening is when the world will end. She wants Sam and Jay to get underground to save themselves, but nobody is willing to listen to her. So, she decides that she needs to stop the restaurant from opening to get them underground.
It’s not like Jay needs Flower to destroy his restaurant opening, though. The chefs he’s chosen to work there are enough to destroy the whole place. There’s a guy who is always high, a guy who is always trying to hook up with the women he sees, and a woman who is nervous as hell about the job.
Flower certainly tries, though. This is when we learn that the basement ghosts have powers. They run through each of the chefs in the kitchen and gives them all cholera. It’s going to be a rough night for all of them.
Sam and Jay are understandably angry and upset with her. Sam finally breaks it to Flower that the cult was a scam. She’s not going to remember this forever, but it shows that the ghosts can take things way too far. With the sun already set, Flower learns that the “prophecy” was wrong, and Sam breaks it that the leader lied.
With the anger died down, Sam goes to see how Flower is. All Flower has ever wanted is to belong and feel special. She’s wanted it so much that she hasn’t seen that she belongs in this group of ghosts. Flower even has a good idea to help save the opening night. The ghosts will dictate what needs to be done and Sam can shout out the orders.
I have to laugh how Mark is pulled in and just goes along with everything. I really want to see Mark learn about the ghosts at some point. He deserves to find out after everything that he’s been through.
Jay’s speech about family disagreements is perfect. It’s that reminder that the ghosts have become family to Sam and Jay. They do get annoying, but all family gets annoying after a while.
Jay is also able to explain the cholera. It was the lettuce they ate. The poor lettuce farmers. It’s always the lettuce. Why do we eat healthily?

Trevor shows just how hurt he really is in Ghosts
Trevor shares that the ghost table will have four seats. Isaac and Trevor will get two of the seats, and the other ghosts will need to pitch why they should get to sit at the table.
This leads to Hetty refusing to beg for a seat at the table, so she’s out. However, it’s soon clear that Trevor is pushing Hetty out for other reasons. He was hurt by the way things ended between them. Sure, Trevor broke up with her, but it’s because Hetty didn’t even talk to him before things with Thor.
Finally, the two are able to clear the air. They were a power couple in the house, and maybe there is a medium ground. They can be “power friends,” which means that they just wait to be able to show people that they are better. It’s good to see the two back on friendly terms, but I would love for them to patch things up. There’s something about Hetty and Trevor that just work.
Ghosts airs on Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS. Catch up on Paramount+.
