It has been a long-running joke that Isaac hates Alexander Hamilton. It’s time to find out why in Ghosts season 4, episode 14.

From the beginning of Ghosts, Isaac has told us that he hates Hamilton. He hates the fact that Alexander Hamilton got a production made about him, and there are a lot of things that he despises about the man. This is a name that keeps coming up, despite there being so many other Founding Fathers out there.

Honestly, I expected this to be a tale that was never told. It’s just one of those things that we accept, and probably out of jealousy. Well, it’s time for the show to give us the backstory.

Isaac tells the story of Alexander Hamilton in Ghosts season 4, episode 14

It’s not exactly clear why this tale comes up in the episode, although there is a link to Jay's obsession with another chef. Isaac declares that it’s time to tell it in the promo of the episode.

The promo gives a small hint of the reason Isaac hates Hamilton. The two get into a fight by the table that presumably has the Declaration of Independence. The fight leads to a candlestick falling over, landing on a large piece of paper and setting it on fire. What are the chances that this fight burned the original Declaration and Isaac was blamed for it? If they rewrote it, did Isaac find his name left off as “punishment?”

Or is there something else to the story? I always say that hate isn’t the opposite of love. Indifference is. If you hate someone, you have some sort of feeling for them, and this could lead to love. We know that Isaac is gay, so is it possible that he had feelings for Hamilton and was turned down? Or maybe there was some secret love affair?

Elias Woodstone is also back in Ghosts season 4, episode 14. He returns from Hell for a limited time with a one-time deal for the ghosts. Is this in an attempt to get one of them to switch places with him? Is it a chance for one of them to be “sucked off?” I guess we’ll need to wait and see, but I don’t trust this man.
