There is always the saying “never meet your hero,” and it looks like Bailey may learn that the hard way in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 14. Meanwhile, there is trouble for Owen and Teddy’s relationship.
In the latest episode, Teddy and Owen were separated by distance, but with their new open marriage rules, they decided to try out the change. Owen went through with it while Teddy decided that she only wanted Owen. That’s sure to come up in the new episode.
Bailey and Teddy get more screen time in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 14
After her successful talk at the conference in Oakland, it looks like Bailey has set up a guest speaker at her own hospital. This is someone who is a hero of hers, but he’s not a hero of Simone’s. The man got her kicked out of her first residency program, and he’s sure to have some things to say about her when he finds out that she’s working at Grey Sloan Memorial. Will he try to get her kicked out again?
He certainly doesn’t seem impressed with Simone in the OR. And while she does have her issues in ORs, this guy is probably one of the toxic men that we all know exist in the workplace — and if you’re not willing to accept that there are men like this, you’re part of the problem.
Webber seems to see that there may be a problem with the surgeon’s ways, and he brings that up to Bailey. However, she doesn’t seem to want to accept her hero could be a bad guy right now.
Meanwhile, Teddy and Owen’s marriage gets some more time. It looks like they’re both open about what happened when they were away. Sort of. Teddy makes it clear that she only wants Owen, and Owen agrees with that. However, Teddy realizes that Owen may have hooked up with someone while she was away, and it’s sure to bring up some questions and issues. They had rules of not talking about this sort of thing, but when has Teddy ever stuck to the rules?
The two will need to work together, though, as they have a patient come in impaled by an ice pick. At least it’s not an icicle to bring up the past with Cristina.
