Even though it feels like the 2025-2026 television just started, we're already rapidly approaching the sprint of season finales. Since episodes counts have been reduced on a lot of broadcast networks, some season finales are happening much sooner than the traditional end of May timeframe. Thankfully, we've learned when most shows wrap for the season, including Grey's Anatomy.

As reported by TV Line in their extensive season finale roundup, the Grey's Anatomy season 22 finale will air on Thursday, May 7 at 10 p.m. ET. While Grey's fans are likely used to the show being on a bit longer into the spring, the show's current 18-episode orders have the veteran medical drama signing off sooner than anticipated. Its season finale date might also point to when 911 signs off, too.

Currently, ABC hasn't confirmed when the 911 season 9 and 911: Nashville season 1 finales air as of this writing. But the fact that Grey's Anatomy season 22 ends on Thursday, May 7, and both 911 shows air directly before the medical drama on Thursday nights, we can presume that the evening of May 7 will host three season finales back-to-back-to-back.

Like Grey's Anatomy, both 911 and 911: Nashville feature 18 episodes in their current seasons, and while it's possible that ABC could potentially hold the season finales for the week after Grey's, or even the week before, it's highly unlikely that the network would opt to split up such big event episodes for three of its most popular drama series.

Ahead of the Grey's Anatomy season 22 finale on May, the series will air a new episode on April 2 before taking the next three weeks off and returning on April 23 for its last two episodes of the season. It's fully expected that 911 and 911: Nashville will follow suit with their own three-week break and return alongside Grey's on April 23 for their last two episodes.

In addition to Grey's Anatomy, ABC has already marked their calendars with confirmed season finale dates for High Potential season 2 (April 7), Scrubs season 1 (April 15), and Abbott Elementary season 5 (April 22, two episodes). The network also hasn't revealed the season finale dates for Will Trent, The Rookie, and RJ Decker, though they will also wrap up around the same time as ABC's other hits.

The current television season might be in our rear view mirror very soon, but ABC's looking ahead to next television by announcing a number of early renewals, which includes Abbot Elementary, High Potential, both 911 and its new spinoff, and Grey's Anatomy. The medical drama will further extend its record as the longest-running series of its genre on television and its network.
