Good news, High Potential fans!

ABC announced that High Potential will air after Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027. The episode, the first of a two-part event, ends on a cliffhanger that the show will resolve during its regular time slot the following Tuesday.

However, High Potential's post-Super Bowl event will not be its premiere. The show's third season is currently scheduled to debut on ABC in January as part of its midseason lineup.

Super Bowl LXI will mark the first time ABC has hosted the championship since 2006. That year, the event was followed by Grey's Anatomy, which aired part 1 of its bomb-themed episode. According to Deadline, the episode drew a whopping 38.1 million viewers.

Before that, the network aired episodes of Alias (2003), The Practice (2000), Extreme (1995), Davis Rules (1991), and The Wonder Years (1988).

High Potential star Kaitlin Olson is featured in an official promo video that aired during Monday Night Football and has been uploaded to ABC's official YouTube channel.

The 15-second video opens with Olson saying, "People think detective work is hard. It's actually easy if you know where to look." The camera then pans to evidence, including photos and forensic reports, related to a fictional case. Olson uses what appears to be an ultraviolet forensic light to illuminate the board, revealing the date and time of High Potential's post-Super Bowl episode.

"Hang on, High Potential's on after the Super Bowl?" Olson asks someone off-camera. "What does this mean for me, swag-wise?"

The promo video is a humorous nod to Morgan Gillory, Olson's eccentric, witty High Potential character.

The show follows Gillory, a single mom with a high IQ, who uses her knowledge to help the police solve some of their toughest cases. Her unorthodox methods occasionally clash with her by-the-book veteran detective partner, but the two always find a way to get things done.

Olson is joined by Daniel Sunjata as Detective Adam Karedec, Judy Reyes as Lieutenant Selena Soto, Javicia Leslie as Daphne Forrester, and Deniz Akdeniz as Lev "Oz" Ă–zdil.

ABC previously reported that High Potential's season 2 premiere soared to 21.48 million viewers after 35 days, and the show ranked No. 1 in broadcast series among adults aged 18-49.

Suffice it to say, High Potential isn't hurting in the ratings department, but their upcoming post-Super Bowl time slot will undoubtedly give them an extra boost.

High Potential is available to stream on ABC, Disney+, and Hulu.
