Cause of Death: Stabbed by Nobu
During a rooftop battle with the Hand – aka the ancient warrior group introduced in Season 2 – Elektra took a fatal blow from Nobu’s choice weapon. Elektra met a very unexpected end protecting Matt – who was forced to watch the woman he loved die in front of him. However, it appears that we may not have seen the last of Elektra just yet.
While Elektra indeed was murdered by Nobu in the Season 2 finale, there is a strong possibility that she could return next season. The Elektra mythology (and even Davedevil‘s mythology) plays with the process of resurrection and immortality and given how the series left off – with Elektra’s body being placed within the large stone urn Nobu had been protecting – there is still a chance that Elektra will once again walk among the living. For now, we mourn the loss of one kicka** character!
