Denise was on a mission to prove something to herself. She wanted to be a true survivor, so she rallied the troops (Daryl and Rosita) and went on a run to a possible pharmacy down the road. Throughout the journey, Denise tested her mettle and forced herself to come face to face with the ugliness of this new and broken world. Sure, she was a doctor and had saved lives within Alexandria, but she also wanted to hone her street skills and increase her worth as a team player.
While Denise enjoyed a few small wins along the way, the Survivors ended up ruining all the warm fuzzies there were to be had, and abruptly ended Denise’s life with a single arrow. It was a tragic, unnecessary death, and we miss the doc dearly.
