Cause of Death: Olympian Crystal’s Blast.
After returning from the Underworld, Robin and Regina attempted to prove Zelena that Hades had not changed and that he could not be trusted. Their warnings fell on deaf ears as Zelena raced home to Hades and shared their concerns with Hades.
With Zelena unwilling to see Hades for the true threat that he is, Robin and Regina sneak into the mayor’s office using an underground passageway so that they can retrieve Robin’s young daughter. After sneaking into the office, Robin and Regina are surprised by Hades who makes it clear that he plans to use the Olympian Crystal that he has restored to officially end Regina’s life.
He soon sets his target and launched a deadly blow but, before the crystal’s energy can hit Regina, Robin dives in front of his true love to take the deadly blow himself. Following the blow Robin collapsed to the floor, though his soul stood above his body. With one final glance at his true love, Robin’s being – for lack of a better term – quickly dissolved into the air.
