With the lives of their team in jeopardy, Leonard and Sara – with some help from Gideon – pin down the location of their team and make their way to save their comrades by attaching a device to one of the time ships and they fly out of the hangar.
After their plan pays off, the two are reunited with their teammates. Soon, they determine that the only way to defeat the Time Masters is by destroying the Occulus. When they finally arrive, Ray sets his sights on destroying the Occulus as Leonard, Firestorm and Sara. However, when Ray removed his helmet, Rip realizes that Ray will die if he follows through with their plan to destroy the Occulus.
While Ray is adamant that he isn’t afraid to die, Mick isn’t willing to let his teammate make the ultimate sacrifice. Mick knocks Ray out and take his place, noting that this will be his way of sticking it to the Time Masters for the torture they put him through. Our game of roulette continues when Leonard distracts his friend, knocks him out and decides that he will be the one to carry out the team’s plan.
Once his team has made their way to safety, Leonard releases the fail safe which causes an explosion that destroys everything – including Leonard.
