Aliser Thorne, Game of Thrones

Season 1 – Season 6

Time of Death: “Oathbreaker”, Season 6, Episode 3

Cause of Death: Hanging

Aliser (Owen Teale) had it out for Jon Snow (Kit Harington) ever since he laid eyes on the poor bastard from Winterfell. We’re not exactly sure why he disliked our brooding hero so much. Perhaps it was his penchant for mercy, or maybe it was the fact that he was teacher’s pet. Lord Commander Jeor Mormont liked Jon much better than Aliser right off the rip, and it’s not hard to see why.

After Jon broke the code of the Watchers on the Wall and permitted Wildlings to pass, Aliser put his foot down. He staged a coup and ran a stabby train on Jon’s body. Apparently Aliser never heard the saying, “what is dead may never die” because once Jon Snow rose from the dead, he was quick to take his revenge in the form of a very public hanging.
