After Daisy trapped Hive in the quinjet with the warhead, her plan took an unexpected turn when Lincoln blasted her out of the quinjet in order to save her life and instead sacrifices his life for the love of his life. With Daisy safe, Lincoln sends the jet soaring towards space knowing what he must do to stop Hive’s plan.
Following Lincoln’s switcheroo, Daisy reached out over the coms and the duo exchange their final goodbyes – which includes Daisy realizing that Lincoln had taken her crucifix and Lincoln revealing that it was never her fate to save the world from Hive’s plan.
Once in space, the quinjet loses all contact with team back on Earth and there is nothing anyone can do to stop Lincoln. With the end near, Lincoln shares a surprisingly heartwarming moment with Hive – who notes that he only wanted to make the world better and the two face their looming fate together. The warhead detonates and Daisy’s vision finally comes true.
