Cause of Death: Stabbed with a Kryptonite-filled sword.
After helping to save Kara from the Black Mercy, Astra returned to the side of Non (aka the man responsible for unleashing the Black Mercy on Kara) and her fellow Kyptonians. Awakened from her parasite-inflicted coma, Kara flew away to find Non and stop his covert plan – known as Myriad.
As Kara worked to stop Non, Alex found herself facing off in battle with Astra. After seeing the good in Astra, Alex pleaded with Astra to join their side in the battle – noting that there was still good inside of her. Hank stepped in, interrupting their conversation, and Astra set her sights on killing him.
Seeing her friend in grave danger, Alex rushed to his assistance and used a specially designed Kryptonite-filled sword to stab her directly in the chest.
