Martha Stewart has the perfect answer to why she won't be on The Golden Bachelorette
Don’t expect to see Martha Stewart on The Golden Bachelorette. At all. She’s given the perfect reason why, and it’s got nothing to do with money.
The Golden Bachelorette is one of the latest Bachelor Nation shows. It focuses on a woman in her golden years looking for a new husband, and so far, we’re on the first season.
While on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Stewart if she would appear on the spin-off as the lead, and she made it clear the answer is no.
Why Martha Stewart won’t do The Golden Bachelorette
Of course, the series is focused on non-celebrities for the most part. That doesn’t stop ABC from potentially bringing a season that includes celebrities we already know and love, so the question is valid.
Well, Stewart says no. It doesn’t matter if she was paid $10 million an episode. She isn’t going to do the series.
“The guys aren’t hot enough,” Stewart told Cohen.
She was on the series with Snoop Dogg, who reiterated that it had nothing to do with the money for Stewart. It’s all about the look of the men. Just because a woman is in her 50s, 60s, or older doesn’t mean that she has to settle for a low bar when it comes to looks.
Love Is Blind has tried to show that love truly is blind. The focus is on that emotional connection, but we’ve seen plenty of seasons where they’ve then met and realized that there’s something physically not there, and sometimes it’s the looks. Physical chemistry and attraction are important, and Stewart has made that clear that it is necessary for her.
The Golden Bachelorette airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
