There isn't a new episode of Ghosts tonight (but there is some good news)

Thursdays are supposed to be about our favorite spirits, but that's not happening tonight. Here's what's on instead, and when the show will return.

We are more than ready for a new episode of Ghosts, but there’s some bad news tonight, Thursday, Nov. 21. There isn’t a new episode of the comedy series.

Instead of airing a new episode, CBS has a special. We’ll get the holiday movie Nugget Is Dead? A Christmas Story. This tracks with the time of year. A lot of networks will start to air their seasonal content.

In some good news, there is a rerun later on tonight. Since the Christmas special is only for two hours, we’ll get an hour of comedy to end the night. The last show of the night is a rerun of Ghosts. We’ll get to see the first episode of Sas learning that he can step into the dream world.

When will Ghosts air a new episode?

There is a bit of bad news for the series, though. There isn’t going to be a new episode throughout the rest of November. We’ll have to wait until Thursday, Dec. 5 for the new episode. That’s not surprising when you consider next Thursday is Thanksgiving. There is no way people are watching a lot of shows live on that day!

We don’t have any details of the new episode, which again, isn’t that surprising. We still have two weeks until the next episode will air, so CBS won’t have a lot ready to go to promote the episode. The focus is on the content that will air throughout the next two weeks.

There are a few things that we still need to see throughout the series. One of those is linked to the dream-walking ghost. We need to learn how Sas died. Of course, we’re not expecting to see the series canceled, but it would be good to get the answer now.

We would also love to see Hetty figure out her ghost power. It’s not easy with everyone else figuring out their powers in death. Hetty has been patient figuring it out, and you would have thought after sharing how she died and the shame she felt from that it would open the door for her ability to manifest.

Ghosts will return on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
