If there has been one breath of fresh air in terms of story this year, it’s been Happy’s Place. The new Reba McEntire series has brought us laughter, hope, and love. There is some bad news about tonight, though. There isn’t a new episode airing on Friday, March 28.
In fact, there’s even some worse news. There won’t be a new episode for the rest of the TV season. Happy’s Place has wrapped its first season, and now it’s on a break.
Happy’s Place has been renewed for a second season
The finale brought a moment of hope for fans of McEntire and Rex Linn as a real couple. Their characters, Bobbie and Emmett, made it clear that they have feelings for each other, something that we could see all season. However, not everyone at the bar wants them to get together, as this could y change the dynamics in the workplace.
If I’m honest, work and personal shouldn’t mix. I don’t think it’s right to date a coworker. But this is TV, and the two are so great together!
Nothing happened in the end, but there is a second season on the way. NBC confirmed the renewal earlier this year, making it one of just a handful of shows renewed so far. Now we just have to wait for that second season.
When will Happy’s Place season 2 premiere on NBC?
The earliest we’re looking at the show coming back in in September 2025. However, the first season didn’t premiere until October, partly due to there being fewer episodes than most other shows. It did get an extended order, but even that only took us to 18 episodes.
There’s hope that we’ll get a full 22-episode season for season 2. That should mean an earlier return date. We’ll know more in May when the schedule is revealed at the Upfronts.
Happy’s Place is now available to stream in full on Peacock.
