By Ricky Valero
We have a strong lineup of shows set to drop on Netflix this week. From a competition reality show that's a battle of brute force and a mind-bending series that will be sure to have you on the edge of your seat, Netflix has brought out the big guns. Like we do every week, Hidden Remote is here to share with you all the best Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Monday, March 18.
This month has been stacked for the streaming giant, seeing dynamic movies such as Damsel and Spaceman hit the platform. And on the TV side of things, we've seen strong titles, including Girl5eva and The Gentleman make waves. While the end of Love is Blind, season 6 saw us get sucked up in the world of drama. Netflix isn't done yet with another week of strong releases.
What to watch on Netflix this week (March 18)
Physical: 100 season 2
Release Date: Wednesday, March 20
Prepare for the return of the intense reality TV series Physical: 100. This is not just any competition. It's a battle of the fittest, where 100 contestants in incredible physical shape go head-to-head. The stakes are high, the competition is fierce, and only one person can claim the exclusive cash prize. The second season is filmed again in South Korea, but this time, it is set against the backdrop of a giant underground mine. From UFC fights to FBI Agents to Collegiate Wrestlers, people from all walks of life are set to compete. This is going to be a very interesting season!
3 Body Problem season 1
Release Date: Wednesday, March 21
3 Body Problem follows the story of astrophysicist Ye Wenjie, who is conscripted by the military to use her scientific background to help at a secret radar base. Her decisions lead a present-day group of scientists forced to face humanity's greatest threat. The series stars Benedict Won, Jess Hong, Jovan Adepo, and Eiza Gonzalez.
This series will become one of the most divisive shows in the streaming platform's history. There have been both some positive and negative reviews. Personally, I lean more towards the latter, but I'm interested to see how the general audience will receive the show.
Shirley
Release Date: Friday, March 22
Netflix is bringing another biopic where Academy Award-winning actress Regina King plays the first Black congresswoman, Shirley Chisholm, in the film Shirley. The film was written and directed by Academy Award-winning director John Ridley. Starring alongside King are Lance Reddick, Terrence Howard, and Lucas Hedges.
