Turner Classic Movies is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and the network is celebrating with a special partnership with Fandango that offers great classic films for free! Find out which ones to watch!

Established in 1994, Turner Classic Movies has become the go-to place for fans of old Hollywood. The channel is amazing in its depth as they show a lot of established and famous classics but also scores of little-known movies from the 1930s through 1990’s, all with a variety of hosts offering historical details. There have been unique themes for Oscar time and marathons for certain stars. Also, they run festivals such as the popular TCM Classic Film Festival, which is about to have its 15th year.

The channel was at risk in 2023 with word that Warner Bros Discovery was considering dropping the service. This got some major Hollywood players like Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese to pen a letter that seemed to win the service back.

TCM can be tricky as some cable packages get it for free while others only offer it as a pay service. Thankfully, there’s now a new way to stream some films for free as, per Deadline, Fandango at Home (formerly Vudu) will give fans a chance for some free TCM offerings.

The plan is for these movies to rotate around every month so new films are added to the service while others depart. It’s a smart play, letting Fandango users get used to what TCM offers to perhaps subscribe to them. Also, during this year’s TCM Festival, there will be a special “living room” promotional space at the TCL Chinese on Hollywood Boulevard.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Turner Classic Movies to provide fans access to beloved classic films, some for free for the first time,” SVP of OTT/Streaming for Fandango, Cameron Douglas, stated. “Through this new relationship, we aim to celebrate the rich cinematic history represented by TCM’s extensive film library and offer our dedicated users special deals and offers.” It’s a good deal, so what movies can you watch on this new offering?
