It only took seven seasons, but Maddie and Chimney’s big day has finally arrived! There’s just one problem: The groom has gone missing!

Tonight, Maddie and Chimney’s wedding day has arrived but, of course, the show couldn’t allow them to have a drama-free wedding – this is 911 after all! As teased in the previous episode, it seems the boys had a bit too much fun during their bachelor party and the groomsmen show up to the wedding dazed, confused, and without the groom!

Picking up where the previous episode left off, the search for Chimney is about to begin as Maddie and the 118 team work to track him down following his mysterious disappearance. It’s clear 911 is about to bring us an episode inspired in part by The Hangover in which a bachelor party goes wrong and the groomsmen have to try to piece together the events of the previous night in order to find their missing friend.

The official synopsis for the episode doesn’t really give us too much information – you can read it below – but the promo for the episode does seem to hint that Chimney could be in danger!

“After years of anticipation, Maddie and Chimney’s long-awaited wedding day arrives. However, when the groom mysteriously vanishes, the 118 races against time to ensure he doesn’t miss the most crucial day of his life.”

Fans are worried about Chimney after the 911 season 7 episode 6 promo hints he could be in serious danger

While we at first thought Buck and Eddie simply lost Chimney after having a bit too much fun partying, the promo for tonight’s episode of 911 seems to hint that Chimney could be in some serious trouble.

“I’m supposed to be somewhere,” a clearly roughed-up Chimney says as he musters up the strength to crawl away from a man who we can only assume is his captor/attacker.

Luckily for Chimney, his bride-to-be isn’t about to let him miss their wedding day and quickly rushes into action. In one moment from the promo, we see Maddie heading to the 911 dispatch center while still rocking her wedding dress on a mission to find Chimney. If there is anyone we’d want looking for us if we want missing it’s Maddie and the 118 crew, who all step up to assist in the search for Chimney.

Although the promo hints that Chimney could be in some serious danger, the optimist in us believe the 118 team will get to him in time for him to walk down the aisle and exchange I Do’s with Maddie before the episode’s end!

Jennifer Love Hewitt makes fans panic that she’s leaving 911

It might be Chimney who goes missing and finds himself in trouble in the promo for this week’s 911, but it’s Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character Maddie that fans are most concerned about due in part to an Instagram video shared by Hewitt ahead of the episode.

In the video, Hewitt took fans down memory lane with a series of behind-the-scenes photos from over the years shared by Hewitt and her on-screen husband-to-be, Kenneth Choi. The video itself served as a sweet tribute to their characters ahead of Maddie and Chimney’s wedding but it was the caption that had fans worried about whether Hewitt might be leaving the show.

“Madney forever! What a gift playing Maddie and Kenneth Choi have been for me. Please watch our wedding this Thursday,” Hewitt wrote.

Fans in the comments were quick to express concerns about the message reading as a goodbye to the character; however, it seems they’re just reading too much into the post as Hewitt has made no announcements about leaving the show and this didn’t seem like an exit post. Rather, it seems to have simply been a tribute to the characters ahead of their wedding, though we do understand why some fans worried about whether Hewitt was leaving.

The show is getting up there in seasons and cast exits aren’t uncommon for shows the longer they’re on air. ABC hasn’t announced any departures from the show, but that doesn’t mean some could be coming, so be sure to check back here at Hidden Remote for the latest on 911 and all your favorite broadcast series!
