Arthur the King, a new movie that promises fun and adventure for everyone in the family is now playing in theaters. But with trips to the movie theaters costing a pretty penny these days, most families opt to watch movies from the comfort of their own home. Unfortunately, Arthur the King is not streaming at this time. Do we know when and where it'll land?

Even the cost of going to the movies for two people can quickly add up, so imagine a family! That said, it's cheaper and a lot more convenient to stream a movie from the comfort of your own couch. Sadly, this isn't always an option. Now, most movies head to streaming at one point or another, so that's also going to be the case for Arthur the King. But where and when will that be? Here's everything we know so far!

Arthur the King is based on the book Arthur - The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home, by Mikael Lindnord, which tells the incredible true story of a stray dog named Arthur. When an adventure team of racers finds Arthur, the pup is wounded. After nursing Arthur back to health, the pup bonds with the crew and begins to follow them, joining the team on a grueling 435-mile race through the Dominican Republic. The movie is rated PG-13 for some strong language and stars Mark Wahlberg (Father Stu), Simu Liu (Barbie), Nathalie Emmanuel, Bear Grylls, and others.

No official date has been announced, so let's have a look at previous releases from Lionsgate. Typically, movies go to streaming four to six weeks after leaving theaters. But limited release films such as Arthur the King are often available to stream a lot earlier. The movie will likely hit VOD platforms (Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) sooner, though. As for where the movie will be streaming, that will more than likely be on Peaock, where Lionsgate movies have gone after theaters. Once we learn more, we'll be sure to update this post!

In the meantime, some family movies you can enjoy this weekend, are Wonka (now streaming on Max), Wish on Disney+, and Kung Fu Panda in theaters.
