Bachelor in Paradise quietly canceled? ABC hit MIA on fall and summer schedule
By Cody Schultz
Did ABC just cancel Bachelor in Paradise? Well, it certainly looks that way as the fan-favorite spinoff will not be coming back as part of ABC’s 2024-25 television slate.
When ABC dropped its summer lineup, fans were quick to notice that Bachelor in Paradise season 10 was not included on the list. Shocking as it was to see the show missing, the assumption became that ABC was going to again hold the new season for the fall as it had done last year. As fans will remember, last fall ABC paired new episodes of Bachelor in Paradise with The Golden Bachelor and for a night of Bachelor Nation content.
While we knew The Golden Bachelor wouldn’t be coming back, ABC announced The Golden Bachelorette would arrive in the fall so the expectation was that ABC would pair the series with Bachelor in Paradise. Instead, ABC has confirmed that Bachelor in Paradise won’t be coming back at all as part of the 2024-25 season with season 10 nowhere to be found on the schedule for the network.
As such, we won’t be getting a new season of Bachelor in Paradise at all in 2024 which is more than a little disappointing given the show has been a staple on ABC for years now.
Bachelor in Paradise hasn’t officially been canceled but it’s not coming in 2024
What’s interesting is that ABC hasn’t officially announced the cancellation of Bachelor of Paradise, but it seems the show is on an indefinite hiatus with no return date for the show or any official renewal of the show for season 10.
Given Bachelor in Paradise is not on ABC’s summer schedule or, its fall or midseason schedule for 2024-25, it seems there are no plans to bring the show back anytime soon. If, and this is a big if at this point, season 10 does get ordered the absolute earliest we could see the tenth season arrive would be Summer 2025. That’s contingent upon ABC looking to bring the show back into its summer slate.
With The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette now in the mix, ABC will have four Bachelor Nation shows in the mix so it makes sense that it needs to cut something from the rotation. Sadly, it seems like Bachelor in Paradise has become that show which is unfortunate given the show is unlike any of the other shows in the franchise.
Bachelor in Paradise has always been more chaotic and a show fans enjoy watching for the drama it brings as hopefuls from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette head to Mexico for a second shot at love. It’s also a great opportunity to bring back fan-favorite contestants outside of tapping them as a lead for one of the show’s key franchises.
We’ll have to see if ABC chooses to bring Bachelor in Paradise back into the mix next year but for now, it seems the show has no return date in sight and is not a priority for ABC.
