Summer is in full swing and if you’re anything like me, you’ve likely reached the point in the offseason where you’re missing your favorite broadcast originals and are counting down the days until they return this fall. While there are usually at least a few fun shows to help keep us busy during the summer break, the summer season has been off to a slower start than anticipated but that’s all about to change with July’s arrival!

After weeks filled primarily with reruns and the occasional special program, some of our favorite summer series are about to return with new seasons which means we can once again look forward to settling in on the couch at night with some of our favorite guilty pleasures!

From new seasons of The Bachelorette and Claim to Fame on ABC to the return of our favorite summer CBS series Big Brother, here are the eight broadcast shows we can’t wait to dive into this July across ABC, CBS, and The CW!

The Bachelorette

Jenn Tran might not have found love on The Bachelor, but now she’s getting a second chance to find her person as the lead of the new season of The Bachelorette. Kicking off on July 8 at 8/7c, we can’t wait to watch Jenn embark on her search for love while making history as the first Asian Bachelorette in the history of the show. Jenn was a standout during Joey’s season and we’re certain she’s going to make for an amazing Bachelorette!

All American: Homecoming

On July 8, All American: Homecoming begins its final chapter with the season 3 premiere. We’re not quite ready to bid farewell to the show but we’re excited to see how the creative team behind the show brings Simone’s journey to a close and to see what awaits us over the course of the season season. As one of the only two scripted dramas airing on the broadcast networks this summer, it’ll also give us a nice break from summer’s reality slate!

Celebrity Family Feud

It’s almost time to play the Family Feud again! Steve Harvey returns to host the tenth season of ABC’s celebrity spinoff of the iconic game show which is just as much fun to play along to as it is to watch! This season we can expect a new group of celebrities to take to the stage to battle it out in a game of Family Feud including stars from The Bachelor, 911, and more! The new season begins on July 9 at 9/8c and we can’t wait to tune in weekly for new episodes.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Jimmy Kimmel is back to host a new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? which will kick off its new season on July 10 at 8/7c! Kimmel surprised us with his hosting abilities last summer and we can’t wait to play along with this season’s contestants and see if we have what it takes to become a millionaire with our trivia skills!

Claim to Fame

I’m not sure how I feel about Claim to Fame’s move to a new night and time – season 3 kicks off at 9/8c on July 10 – but I will most certainly be seated for the new season of ABC’s must-see reality hit which challenges the contestants and fans at home with figuring out the cast’s claim to fame. There’s no telling who this season’s contestants might be related to, but we can’t wait to dive into the new season and guess along with the players as we try to figure out the celebrity relatives of the cast!

Big Brother

July 17 cannot arrive fast enough! On July 17, Big Brother returns for season 26 as a new group of houseguests move into the Big Brother house for a summer full of lies, betrayals, alliances, and showmances! We might not yet know what twists away the houseguests this season, but we can’t wait to see what host Julie Chen Moonves throws at the houseguests this season and are hoping to be in store for yet another exciting season.

After a few stinkers, the last few seasons have actually made us fall in love with the show again and we’re hoping this season’s cast will again give us new favorites to root for as well as a few villains we can’t help but cheer on!

Press Your Luck

Also back this July on ABC is Press Your Luck which returns for season 6 on July 18 at 8/7c! The Elizabeth Banks-hosted series is sure to once again have fans shouting “No Whammy!” alongside the season’s new contestants who are competing for money and amazing prizes again this season.

61st Street

If All American: Homecoming isn’t your cup of tea, perhaps you’ll enjoy the second season of 61st Street! Season 2 kicks off on July 22, more than two years after the first season wrapped back in 2022, with Emmy-winner Courtney B. Vance back in action fighting the good fight and attempting to fight for justice within the corrupt Chicago criminal justice system.

Bonus: The Olympics

Of course, how could we mention the July broadcast slate without mentioning the 2024 Olympics? The Paris Olympics will kick off on Friday, July 26 with the Opening Ceremony with NBC once again being the destination spot for Olympic coverage! Fans can then look forward to following the top athletes in their fields facing off against one another in hopes of bringing home Olympic Gold in sports including track and field, swimming, gymnastics, basketball, and more!
