Bold and the Beautiful's latest twist with Luna is TWISTED!

The Bold and the Beautiful doesn't always give us a Friday to remember but they certainly did on Aug. 16 with that episode ending kiss! No one saw it coming likely because the smooch happened between Bill and Luna. Did your brain just do a record scratch? You're not alone. Here's how we went from 0 to 100 in this episode.

The soap brought us back to the moment where Bill was reading the paternity test. The results weren't what he and Luna hoped. He is not her father. This left Luna reeling at the revelation that Tom likely was her dad and now he's dead. Bill tried to soothe her by letting her know that she isn't alone and that he, too, is grieving the fact that they're not biologically related.

To be honest, I thought this was going to lead to the billionaire deciding to adopt Luna anyway since he'd wanted to be her father even back when Poppy insisted that he wasn't. But instead he told her that she'll always have a special place in his heart and that he still plans on being there for her. What turned the tables was Luna's speech on how she was brought up.

We knew that Poppy was a single mother whose work history primarily consisted of picking up jobs at festivals. Li called her a gold digger who was always trying to secure a rich man but Poppy and Luna denied this. Poppy said she did the best she could to provide for her daughter and create a happy home but now Luna's begun to say that the way she grew up was rough.

It was hard being the child of a flighty, transient, free spirit of a woman. She felt the effects of not having a stable home which was why she'd been overjoyed to learn Bill's her father. He provided the stability she never had and they'd been so good together as a family. All of that felt like a young woman talking to a man she'd really wanted to be a parent to her.

Then Luna started listing off Bill's positive qualities and the vibe got weird. By the time she called him a beautiful man, we all probably knew what was about to happen but our suspicions were confirmed when she leaned in and kissed him on the mouth. He was taken aback, we were taken aback, and The Bold and the Beautiful's storyline was immediately flipped upside down.

We're going to find out what exactly Luna is up to next week on the soap but this could be a desperate attempt on her part to hold onto the life that Bill has given her. Luna has grown accustom to being the apple of the man's eye. He's doted on her, loved her, and promised her a place in his life. That's now in jeopardy. Perhaps she'll do anything to keep him, including attempting to change their familial relationship to a romantic one. Talk about twisted!
