CBS' schedule for the 2024-2025 TV season is finally here! It, of course, comes with some disappointment as neither NCIS: Hawaii or Blue Bloods received a cancellation reversal. The Hawaii entry in the NCIS franchise will sunset as scheduled as will Blue Bloods though it will be doing so starting October 2024.

There are, however, good things to look forward. Besides the return of beloved series like Fire Country, the FBI shows, The Equalizer, and more, we have new programs to sink our teeth in. Two of which have been sitting in the wings to take the spotlight for sometime. I'm referring to the Kathy Bates-led Matlock reboot and Poppa's House, the father-son comedy from Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans, Jr.

But, I will note that some shows will be sliding into new timeslots after the Fall TV launch. The midseason might cause some confusion. To help avoid this, I'm puling out our handy dandy tables to give you a lay of the land. Below you'll find what you need to know about CBS' schedule for the coming television year for the fall, winter, and midseason. Let's dive into it!

CBS has already given us a heads up when it comes to its winter schedule changes. This will only affect Wednesdays but it's important to note that after Survivor 47 and The Summit finish their runs, there will be a hiatus between when the new Survivor premieres and welcomes The Amazing Race back into the fold. During that time, likely starting in January, the network will be airing three game shows to delight its viewers.

One addition is a new Hollywood Squares. This edition of the game will be hosted by Drew Barrymore. The star has proven through her talk show that she knows how to keep folks tuned in with her charm and humor. I expect the same will be true for this game show even though its timeslot is a little on the later side but, hey, if you're someone who enjoys a 10 o'clock program during the school or work week then this will be right up your alley!

Winter TV - Wednesdays (likely January)

The Price is Right at Night

8 p.m.

Raid the Cage

9 p.m.

Hollywood Squares (New!)

10 p.m.

Now, as for the scripted programs, there will be a couple shifts. S.W.A.T. will be on the move come the midseason to make room for the return of NCIS: Sydney for a Friday slot since Mondays are booked full for the franchise. Watson, led by Morris Chestnut, will claim a Sunday spot once the NFL season is over. No, it's not a spin-off of Elementary. The actor is set to introduce us to his version of Dr. John Watson in a modern world.

CBS also picked up the Fire Country spin-off, Sheriff Country, starring Morena Baccarin as Sheriff's Sergeant Mickey Fox. But it's not expected to premiere until the 2025-2026 TV season which is why it's absent from the schedule. We'll keep you posted on more news as it comes in. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote!
