The Golden Globes 2024 was a night for first time winners! The annual ceremony, which honors the most talked about television series and movies of the previous year, is the lauded start of awards season since it's the first major award show of the months long celebration of media that made us laugh, cry, clamor for movie tickets, or make a mad dash for a laptop to binge.
The night kicked off with a win for Da'Vine Joy Randolph whose star continues to rise and from there the first time winners just kept coming. After being nominated several times over the years, Kieran Culkin finally won a Golden Globe. You may also be surprised to learn that famed and acclaimed director Christopher Nolan won his first Golden Globe as well. And, making history, Lily Gladstone has become the first Indigenous person to win Best Actress.

- Ayo Edebiri (The Bear) - Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy
- Kieran Culkin (Succession) - Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television series - Drama
- Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer) - Best Director, Motion Picture
- Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) - Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama
- Ludwig Göransson (Oppenheimer) - Best Original Score, Motion Picture
- Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) - Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama
