Claim to Fame unveils a wolf in sheep's clothing! (Who was the surprise celebrity relative?)

Claim to Fame has not been an easy feat for the contestants in season 3. So far, no one has gotten anyone correct, so being the guesser has been rough for those unlucky enough to be voted as the one to be correct or possibly go home. Did this pattern ring true for the episode that aired on Wednesday, June 24?

In the episode, we saw that Dedrick tried vainly to curb the guess that his celebrity relative was Michael Jackson. This was mostly due to a slip-up at the end of the premiere which Naomi caught. Adam, however, thought it could even be Little Richard, despite Dedrick’s adamant denial. This was brought on by a conversation Adam had with him asking who his possible relative was.

Plus, with Miguel having revealed his duplicitous behavior, the rest of the house was prepared to see him go. So did he end up in the bottom two?  Thanks to the game of telephone this did happen.

Despite Adam injuring himself during the game, his team won, leaving team captain Danny safe from the chopping block. This did not work out for the team Miguel was on, since he didn’t have the best memory with the limerick challenge and Naomi didn’t understand one of the clues until almost the end of the game.

With Shane in the bottom, as team captain, he chose Miguel to go to the guess off with him. Miguel tried to get some ideas from other contestants, but it was hard to know if they were correct or not. 

Mackenzie’s idea about Adam being related to David Schwimmer was brought on by a clue that turned out not to be about Adam at all. Of course, no one but Dedrick knew that since it was his own clue.

Even though Miguel got some good ideas about Dedrick being related to Michael Jackson, he was steered in a different direction. This did not work out for him when he ultimately was made guesser and got it wrong that Dedrick was related to Little Richard. 

In fact, Miguel surprised everyone with his relative and even his name. His first name is Raphael and he is related to actress Jamie Lee Curtis. The award-winning actress is his aunt and Miguel credited her with financially supporting him and his mother, her half-sister Allegra Curtis. 

Miguel nearly got emotional discussing the support he received from his aunt and it was clear how much she means to him. Sadly, this did mean he was sent home, but we’re excited to see how the rest of the contestants do in playing for more clues.

So far, no one has been able to guess correctly on anyone else. Even though Dedrick has a couple of people convinced he is related to Michael Jackson, will he be able to fool them long enough, even though Danny now has his winner’s clue and has shared it with Shane? We'll have to keep tuning in to find out!
