McCallum played Ducky throughout the CBS show’s entire run since the pilot aired in 2003. Since then, his character has become a beloved staple of the show. Now we have some ideas of what to expect when the episode airs once season 21 returns.
The show won’t take long to pay tribute to McCallum, with the second episode of season 21 being the one where the team learns of Ducky’s passing. It’s a special episode that was written by executive producer Scott Williams and NCIS star Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer.
Palmer and Ducky always had a special relationship and we’re sure given past episodes, we’re going to see some great work from Dietzen when it comes to memorializing Ducky.
