CSI: Vegas is taking a few weeks off starting Sunday, March 31 so when do new episodes return on CBS? Find out here!

CSI: Vegas saw its third season delayed like the rest of the CBS schedule thanks to the 2023 Hollywood strikes. It finally debuted in February on its new night on Sundays. The show has done well but have been a few delays here and there.

Such a delay is going to begin on March 31 as the network will air the third season premiere “The Reaper.” The most likely explanation is that given it’s Easter Sunday, CBS figures there won’t be many people tuning in for a new episode of CSI: Vegas. The ongoing NCAA Men's Basketball tournament combined with the opening weekend of Major League Baseball is also going to cut into possible viewership. Likewise, both The Equalizer and Tracker will have reruns as well.

Also, per CBS, the show will be taking off Sunday, April 7, as CBS will be airing the 2024 CMT Awards, making it a longer break. Then, on April 14, the network will air the special The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square, which follows a brand-new episode of Tracker

This does work for the show as Season 3 has only 10 episodes due to the strikes so spreading them out across the month is a bit better before going to the planned May finales. So when does CSI: Vegas return?

Does CSI: Vegas have an April return date?

As noted, CBS is pretty packed for Sundays for the first two weeks of April. This indicates the next new episode of CSI: Vegas wouldn’t be until April 21. However, CBS has yet to confirm that or give any details on the episode from title to plotline.

It may be annoying for such a long break just as the season is getting going, but like other network shows, CBS has had to scramble to handle productions from the strikes and was still filming episodes when season 3 premiered.

There’s still no word on if the show is getting a fourth season or not as it’s still adjusting to its new time on Sundays. CBS is likely making further adjustments to their schedule in case there’s more shakeups.

So, it’s going to be a long wait for fans before a new CSI: Vegas episode airs but hopefully it makes up for it with a mid-April return with more of the thrilling drama of the series.
