Fourth of July is tomorrow and, while burgers, deviled eggs, and lemonade is certainly on the menu for many of us celebrating Independence Day, so is a new episode of Evil. The Paramount+ original's fourth and final season has been taking us on a ride and it's quite literally going to do so in its seventh episode, "How to Bandage a Wound."

In the episode, which marks the halfway point for the season (it has a total of 14 episodes!), Ben and David have been tasked with getting to the bottom of what exactly a train engineer is seeing while on the tracks. He's convinced that they're haunted and, based on the exclusive clip from the episode below, it doesn't appear that he's wrong. David also comes upon a being on the tracks and, though Ben can't see the demon, the red, growling figure has led them to an unexpected person's doorstep.

Like Ben and David, I did a double take after seeing where the demon decided to do its death fall over the track railing. With three full seasons under our belts we know that aerial shot is unmistakably of Kristen's backyard. Once again, something wicked this way comes for the Bouchard family as if the forensic psychologist doesn't already have her hands full!

"How to Bandage a Wound" will see her caring for her mother. Considering we left off with Sheryl brandishing a knife after she trashed Leland's place in "How to Dance in Three Easy Steps," I'm curious to know just what leads her to needing to be cared for by her daughter and what story revelations may come from it since she was barred from interacting with her granddaughters but was doing it anyway.

Aside from these plots, the episode will explore Ben's growing suspicion that he's losing his sanity. The gaps he's been experiencing in his memory are putting a strain on his relationship with Renee. In episode 4, "How to Build a Coffin," she theorized that the ion beam split him into different realities and in one the jinn terrorizing his existence is real. The issue, of course, besides this kind of haunting being a terrible imposition, is that the creature is doing things and Ben can't remember them.

The synopsis for "How to Bandage a Wound" describes this problem as creating "turmoil" for them. It looks like Ben is in for a terrible time in his personal life. We, however, have a good episode to enjoy so watch Evil on July 4 for some holiday horror.
