FBI isn't new tonight and neither are its spinoffs (but here's when they'll return!)

There will be no new episodes of FBI, FBI: International, or FBI: Most Wanted tonight, but the shows won't be gone from CBS's schedule for too long!

As you settle in for the night, there are some great options to choose from this evening in primetime with new episodes of series such as Will Trent, The Rookie, and The Good Doctor coming just to name a few. However, if your Tuesday night typically entails enjoying the night with new episodes of CBS’s FBI franchise, I get to be the bearer of bad news today.

Yep, you’ve likely guessed it by now, the three FBI series are taking the week off with no new episodes of FBI, FBI: International, or FBI: Most Wanted coming fans’ way this evening. All three shows will be in rerun mode for the night as the series take what will very likely be their final break of the season ahead of their respective season finales.

While the FBI series are taking this week off with no new episodes planned, there is good news for fans! This is not an extended break in the schedule and we’re only going to have to wait one week before the shows return with new episodes.

FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted return May 7, 2024

Following a break on April 30, all three FBI shows return to CBS’s schedule with new episodes on May 7 in what begins a streak of new episodes leading up to the finales.

Due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, each of the FBI shows are getting 13 episodes seasons this year which means we’re fast approaching the finish line. When the shows return on May 7, we’ll be getting the eleventh episode of the season with only two episodes coming our way after.

This means that the three series will be signing off for the summer with their respective season finales on May 21. Given each of the shows have been renewed, there is no telling how big the writers might choose to go. The FBI franchise has never strayed away from shocking season-ending cliffhangers so there is a pretty good chance that at least one of this year’s finales will rock our world with a cliffhanger that will leave us talking all summer long.

Of the three, it seems like FBI: International is least likely to have the biggest cliffhanger of the group given that last season ended with an explosion that left the fate of every character up in the air. Who knows, though, maybe they’ll surprise us with two big back-to-back season finale cliffhanger moments!

We’ll know soon enough as the journey to the finales for FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted begins Tuesday, May 7 as the shows return with the first of their three final episodes this season.
