Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage premiere photos reveal Meemaw's appearance, the tire shop, and more

If you've been a fan of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon, you know there's another sequel series to both coming and that's Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage! There's certainly plenty of story to explore when it comes to the newly married couple and their daughter CeCe. And we have some first-look images to get us excited about the new sitcom coming this fall.

Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage premieres Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. The network has released the title, synopsis, and photos from the first episode to give us an idea of what's to come. In “The 6:10 to Lubbock," the two titular characters "get fed up" with their living situation at Mandy's parents home and may be thinking of moving out after "a fight with Mandy's mom, Audrey," per the synopsis.

We already know how Mandy (Emily Osment) and Audrey (Rachel Bay Jones) definitely butt heads a lot. And I mean, it is a lot of people living under one roof with different personalities. We'll see if they can work things out. What's exciting is that in the premiere episode, Annie Potts returns as Meemaw and Zoe Perry as Georgie's mother Mary Cooper also will pop by, both as guest stars. Per TVLine, Raegan Revord as Georgie's sister Missy Cooper will make an appearance in the second episode.

As you can see in the featured photo above, Connie is there in her signature hairstyle and shirt while of course holding a beer in her hand. Unfortunately the images don't show us Mary just yet, but we do get a glimpse of other things to come.

Did you see how handsome Gerogie is in his tire shop uniform? He's working with his father-in-law Jim (Will Sasso) at his store. As we know from The Big Bang Theory, Georgie grows up to be a very successful tire shop business owner and has multiple stores of his own. It seems he learns all the tricks of the trade from Jim!

I'm really excited to see their dynamic together especially after the heartbreaking death of Cooper patriarch, George. Jim has always been sweet and has a soft spot for Georgie, and I'm sure their relationship is going to evolve even more now with the loss of George.

I'm sure there's going to be no shortage of tension between Audrey and Mandy. The two are firecrackers, and Audrey doesn't really know how to keep her feelings and opinions to herself. Will Georgie and Mandy really move out? I don't know! Though I think it would be interesting if Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage explored that dynamic and a new family dynamic of sorts after being with the Coopers for seven seasons.

Finally, the last picture reveals a new cast member and that's Jessie Prez as Ruben, an employee at Jim's tire store, the news outlet shares. Another actor joining the team is Dougie Baldwin who has been recast in the role of Mandy's brother Connor. Though it's unknown when exactly he'll pop up.
