It doesn’t seem fair that Ghosts season 3 is already over as we’re not ready to bid farewell to Sam, Jay, and all of our favorite ghosts for the summer. Season 3 of CBS’s hit comedy might be the show’s shortest season yet thanks to the actors’ and writers’ strikes of 2023, but the season has made the most of its ten episodes!

Let’s see, this season has had us grieving the loss of Flower who we thought was sucked off in the season premiere, only to later find out had simply fallen into a well and was trapped until her fellow ghosts stumbled upon her. That discovery led to a truly heartbreaking revelation as we learned the story of how Hetty died in an episode that has us feeling all the feels.

This season we’ve also unearthed new ghost abilities when we learned that Sas is able to enter the dreams of the living in order to plant seeds of persuasion and that Pete is able to leave the property! Oh, and we also saw a new ghost join the ensemble when Pete’s ex-wife Carol died on Halloween after choking on a donut.

Like I said, a lot’s happened this season!

Ghosts season 3 finale synopsis and promo

Among the many ongoing threads from the season has been Nigel and Isaac planning their wedding day, and in the season 3 finale, the happy couple finally walk down the aisle to profess their love in front of their friends. In typical Ghosts fashion, fans can expect a blend of heart and humor as the series signs off with its final episode that promises to bring the drama – because no wedding is ever truly complete without an unexpected wedding crasher!

That’s right, as Isaac and Nigel prepare to get married, Isaac finds himself with a case of the jitters and the surprise arrival of an unexpected guest only makes things worse. CBS is understandably keeping its identity of this wedding crasher under wraps but we can’t help but wonder whether it could perhaps be Isaac’s ex.

Then again, maybe it could be the Puritan ghost we learned about this season who was lost underground after Isaac let go of her hand when the unnamed Puritan ghost, Isaac, Sas, and Thorfinn found themselves trapped in a hole decades ago. We haven’t been able to stop thinking about the Puritan ghost since they mentioned she went missing and it would definitely be a shock if she was the wedding crasher as we imagine she won’t be happy to see Isaac after he was responsible for her getting lost all those years ago!
