Griselda and the best new Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (Jan. 22)

Happy birthday to me! It's been one heck of a 38 years on the planet, and I look forward to another fruitful year of talking movies and TV. Like we do every week, we’re sharing all the best Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Jan. 22, 2024.
With the release of a brand new limited series, I would like to turn everyone's attention to The Brothers Sun. If, for some reason, you haven't watched this show, please do because I would love to see a second season. It's the perfect blend of comedy, action, and drama that delivers some awesome fight sequences and badass deaths.
Netflix revived He-Man and his cast of friends with the 2021 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe shortly after they released Masters of the Universe: Revelation in 2021. Fast forward to 2024, He-Man and his team must take on Skeletor and his friends in Masters of the Universe: Revolution. (All five episodes are streaming on Jan. 25)
Fans of stand-up comedy and/or one-person shows should look no further than Jacqueline Novak: Get on Your Knees. The hilarious special is a coming-of-age routine where Novak tackles a specific body part. A warning for readers, this special is mainly about sex and the things involved with it, so if that isn't your jam, do not watch this. However, please watch it because it's incredible. (Streaming on Jan. 23)
As for our biggest recommendations for the week...
Griselda Blanco, or as some knew her as "The Godmother," created one of the most powerful cartels ever. The brand new Netflix limited series Griselda is set in the '70s-80s, where we watch Blanco's ability to lie, manipulate her way to grow the business, and take over some of the most challenging places in the land. Sofia Vergara not only stars in the lead role of Griselda but is also an executive producer on the series. Vergara playing a bad ass? You can count me in as excited. (All six episodes will stream on Jan. 25)
