Invincible season 2 part 2 release updates: The wait continues through January
By Sandy C.
Invincible fans have been highly anticipating the arrival of season 2 part 2. Not only did the animated series leave viewers on a massive cliffhanger, but the season was split into two parts, which makes the wait for the next episode feel even longer. If you want to stay in-the-know on the latest, keep this page bookmarked!
The second season of Invincible only got four episodes in before going on hiatus on Nov. 24, 2023. And while it has only been under two months, fans are anxious to at least know the release date for Invincible season 2 episode 5. Rumors were floating around, The Direct reports, but nothing has been officially announced.
Invincible season 2 part 2 is set to feature another four episodes
So, what do we know about part 2 of the action-packed drama? It will feature four episodes, making the total number of season 2 episodes eight. It may seem short, but this is the same amount of episodes the first season included. As for the release date, "early 2024" has been teased, so our best guess is that season 2 episode 5 will premiere in late February or early March 2024. Of course, as soon as we learn the official date, we'll update this post!
When fans learned more episodes would be here "early 2024," many were hoping this meant January 2024. Unfortunately, Prime Video has released their list of shows and movies coming to the streamer in January and Invincible is nowhere to be found on this list. Trust us, we checked a couple of times! Can Prime Video surprise us with a sudden announcement that part two has arrived? Sure! Streamers love to do this. However, it's highly unlikely this will happen with Invincible, it's a safer bet that the wait will continue through January.
In the meantime, rewatch (or get caught up if you aren't already) on season 1 and the first four episodes of season 2 on Prime Video. Need something else to watch while you wait? How about Role Play or Expats? Both of these releases will be available on Prime Video on Jan. 12 and Jan. 26, respectively.
