Jenn Tran is not playing around on her season of The Bachelorette. The reality dating series hasn't only been a journey toward love for her but also self-worth as she's determined not to fall into old patterns. Last episode, she sent home her ex-boyfriend because she didn't want to look backward she wanted to focus on the potential she has with her suitors on the show.

Now, in episode 6, Jenn really put one of her suitors on the spot. Not once but thrice. Sam M. has been a front runner for her heart since the two got to know each other in the premiere. But, as the season has progressed, viewers had begun to wonder if the pair only had a physical attraction to one another. Compared to the deep conversations and romantic moments Jenn had with her other suitors, her time with Sam wasn't matching the same energy.

Jenn began to notice that herself which is why, on the group date, he was chosen to answer questions live on the radio with her about how he sees their bond. Sam fumbled. Much of what he said was repetitive or didn't make sense. He couldn't speak to his feelings about Jenn and what it is that draws him to her or how he pictures their future in more than vague terms.

Sam even overshared, stating that he didn't think she was his type at first. He'd been under the impression that the Bachelorette was either going to be Daisy or Maria. Despite this he carried on in the series to see if he and Jenn might have a future together. Still, when pressed, Sam couldn't answer a single question about their connection or what he learned about Jenn during the season.

The same thing happened when she spoke to Sam again during one-on-ones in the middle of the group date only this time he tried to get her to accept that he loves her. Jenn was blindsided by that confession and didn't believe him. Sam struck out a third time when she made an impromptu visit to the men's floor to track him down before the rose ceremony.

Once again she tried to get him to say something genuine and real to her that wasn't just platitudes and a love declaration. And once again he didn't have an answer for her with any kind of depth. Sam couldn't even tell Jenn what he'd learned about her during one of the group dates and their time together that night.

Refusing to go down the same rabbit hole she's traveled before, and recognizing that she and Sam didn't have a real connection beyond a physical one, Jenn sent Sam home. And the fandom cheered.
