The more this Bill and Poppy storyline plays out on The Bold and the Beautiful, the more it seems like there's a kernel of truth to what Li has been saying about her sister. After the doctor congratulated her son on a job well done saving Eric Forrester, he tried to get her to build a bridge and move past her animosity toward Poppy but Li wouldn't hear of it. She believes she has her sister's number and that number reads her as a gold digger.

The one thing Li can say is that Poppy has managed to keep Luna from knowing much about her exploits with "older, rich men" who've been implied to have financed her laissez-faire lifestyle of flitting from music festival to music festival and doing as she pleases. Li told Finn that Poppy's sweetness is a facade and that she's always done what she must to survive.

When she said this, I was reminded that Poppy never actually told Bill where they met. He shared his memory of their night together at the Golden Gate Music Festival but this reconstruction of the past has largely come from him. That's not to say it isn't true, but if Poppy is trying to find her way into his good graces, letting him fall for a fantasy would be the way to do it.

In any case, their intimate moment at the beach house didn't get too far since she broke from their embrace once she realized she could hear voices and one sounded like her daughter. Bill checked with Wyatt to see just who he rented the place out to since Luna wouldn't be able to afford it. It was confirmed to him that RJ is the new resident, and his son had already given him the key.

Hilariously, Bill and Poppy shared whispered exchanges throughout their scenes as they tried to figure out what was going on. Bill was comically bothered by the interruption while Poppy wasn't sure what to do. Meanwhile, in the living room, Luna kept telling RJ that she felt like she shouldn't be there. She shared that she thought she heard something and he showed her around the beach house to show her it was just them. He didn't check the bedroom though. We'll have to wait for tomorrow's episode for the pair to get caught by the youngsters in the living room.

The rest of the episode was rehashed conversations. We learned Thomas and Steffy went to go see Eric at the Forrester Mansion. They're both incredibly grateful to Finn for saving their grandfather's life and spent their scenes singing his praises. When Steffy went to the hospital to see her husband, she continued to shower him in her gratitude. He was humble about it, but she insisted that he know just how much he did for their family.

They reminisced about their love story because Finn also saved Steffy after she'd gotten in that motorcycle accident and then was briefly addicted to her pain killers. They both felt that they changed each other's lives for the better though I'm not clear on how much Finn's life changed since he wasn't given much backstory.

Hopefully Tuesday's episode has more drama. See you tomorrow for another recap, Bold fans. You can stream episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful on Paramount+ if you can't watch live. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more Soap Opera news and coverage!
