Netflix dropped the first six episodes of Love is Blind, introducing audiences to singles hoping to meet a lifelong partner. But there is one single, in particular, who has no business being on the show at all... Spoiler warning! Please note that spoilers from episodes 1-6 may be dropped. Go stream the available episodes on Netflix before reading on.

Among the singles, we meet Matthew, and he immediately gives the audience a strange feeling. Matthew is upfront about being "different." As we continue to observe, Matthew doesn't appear emotionally available. He is rude and unapologetically straight-forward. It's not common to see, but we dismiss it as Matthew simply being determined on finding his match.

That is, until fans learn Matthew is arguably the biggest liar in the show's history. In the pods, Matthew connects with Amber and AD, but the latter is quick to catch him on all his lies. But what was Matthew thinking? Surely, he knew his interactions are all being recorded and that it will one day be shown to the world. But even so, the women share a living space, Amber and AD were going to eventually speak. And it's not like Matthew was casual about his lies, either. He tells Amber and AD the exact same thing, the same emotional stories and confessions.

Matthew's manipulative behavior extends to his game of questions. Demanding the woman on the other side of the pod select a number from a list of questions. Oh, and him telling audiences that emotions are a sign of weakness? Is opening up to a potential life partner with honesty and vulnerability not the whole point of the show?

Let's also not forget how Matthew tells viewers that "the entire country of America is on my side." Um. Yeah, I don't think so, Mat. We can't help but wonder how Matthew passed Netflix's study of participants and background checks. I mean, even the men steered clear of him. Both AD and Amber dodge a bullet! And Netflix? Do better.

What does Matthew do for a living?

According to Men's Health, Matthew is 37 years old and works as a senior financial advisor. Find Matthew on Instagram HERE. Does anyone else think it's so strange how Matthew makes no mention of Love is Blind anywhere on his socials?

Love is Blind season 6 episodes 1-6 are now streaming on Netflix. Four new episodes drop next week on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Let's hope we don't see Matthew again.
