The CW has been going through plenty of changes recently with its television lineup, and now the network has a new series true-crime fans will be sure to love. Crime Nation will not only delve into the real-life news stories that captured the nation’s attention, but it will also look into how social media affected these particular cases.

The synopsis for the series says, “each thrilling two-hour episode delves deep into a riveting true crime sensation that has captured the attention of the nation. Each episode reveals new details about these stories through expert analysis, exclusive reporting, and never-before-seen interviews.”

In addition to discussing these cases, the series will also look into how social media gave people the opportunity to try to help solve the case from all over. Crime Nation comes from executive producers James Goldston, Steven Baker, Mike Sheridan, John X. Kim, and Kyle McCabe.

The first episode, “A Town Torn Apart by Murder,” will focus on the Delphi case. It involved the murder of two young girls in Indiana after they disappeared. It will delve into the investigation and how social media played a sinister role in the case. It’s set to air tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 20.

While we do not know an official episode count as of yet, the second episode of Crime Nation is titled, “The Guard and the Inmate: Love on the Run.” Based on the trailer for the series (which you can watch at the bottom of this post), this is likely focusing on the 2022 case of Vicky White and Casey White.

The trailer also showed police body cam footage of Gabby Petito, suggesting this may also be another episode focus during the first season. In addition to airing on The CW, new episodes will be available to stream the following day.
