NBC is set for the summer. At least nine hours of primetime coverage will be dominated by the Olympias as the network will be home to the Summer games in Paris this year. But there are still plenty of fun games and reality shows to check out during the hottest months of 2024. After all, NBC has latched onto a good formula over the years to entertain viewers while most of scripted television is off air for the networks. Let's take a look at what’s coming on NBC this summer!

New episodes of Weakest Link (10/9c)

Jane Lynch again hosts the reboot of the long-running British hit that was on NBC in the early 2000s. A group of contestants try to link money in a chain of answers and, after each round, vote off the player they think is dragging the rest down until one wins. This season will include a special episode with military veterans and likely one themed to the Olympics, with Lynch providing some sharp barbs.

America's Got Talent season 19 premiere (8/7c)

The long-running talent series has Simon Cowell returning as a full-time judge alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara with Terry Crews as host. It’s impossible to guess what wild acts we’ll see as singers, comedians and other types of performers try to stand out for the big prize. The series will move to live shows on August 13, with result shows airing on Wednesdays.

New episodes of Password (10/9c)

After making history as the first Black woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Game Show Host, Keke Palmer tries to top it with new episodes of the classic game show. Jimmy Fallon joins with a contestant against a different celebrity-civilian team to figure out a password from one-word clues. This season’s celebrities include Lauren Graham, Howie Mandel, Wiz Khalifa, Johnny Knoxville, Joel McHale, Meghan Trainor, Lindsey Vonn and Roy Wood Jr. to set up some fantastic banter for the folks at home.

American Ninja Warrior season 16 premiere (8/7c)

It’s not summer without the world’s wildest obstacle course ready for a fresh pack of challengers. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, along with co-host Zuri Hall, will watch this pack of athletes and daredevils first face the tough qualifying rounds before heading to Las Vegas for the finale. The series never ceases to amaze with the pratfalls and athletic skills of the athletes, so this should be another fun year of action.

The Wall - Season 5

New episodes of The Wall (10/9c)

The quirky quiz show is back with new episodes as host Chris Hardwick handles contestants challenging the titular wall. They have to be careful in answering questions to avoid the ball taking away points, and trusting their partners for the answers doesn’t always work. It’s one of the wilder quiz shows on TV and yet one so compelling to watch.

2024 Olympic Games in Paris (NBC and Peacock)

The 2024 Summer Olympics will kick off on July 26 with a lavish Opening Ceremony from Paris packed with fantastic performances. NBC hasn’t announced the full schedule yet for which Games will get primetime coverage and we expect some delays from France but plenty of amazing athletics on display.

So, while the Olympics may play a bit of havoc on scheduling, it still looks like a fun summer for fans of TV on NBC!
