CBS has released some early synopsis for their returning television shows and this is true especially for NCIS: Hawaii. Along with a special guest star, Agent Jane Tennant is ready to get back to work. But will she be able to get back into the fray that easily?
After the season 2 finale saw Tennant revisiting a case from her past, which affected her return to work, the season 3 premiere will continue to deal with the fallout. Plus, LL Cool J will be there to reprise is NCIS: Los Angeles role of Sam Hanna.
NCIS: Hawaii will feature a familiar face in Sam Hannah as he aids Jane Tennant
Hanna appeared in the season 2 finale to help Jane during her case and according to the synopsis, he will be around to make sure Jane is ready to get back to work. By the time season 3 premieres, Tennant will have passed her evaluations, but Hanna will make the final call to see if she is ready to go back to work.
As for the case that will be part of the episode, it will involve a road trip for Tennant and Sam. The team will find that a database geared towards U.S. Marshall's was leaked, leading to the two agents in investigating the hacker.
This road trip will likely help Sam to determine if she is truly ready to be back at work. NCIS: Hawaii will return on Monday, Feb. 12 at 10/9c after the season 21 premiere of NCIS.
LL Cool J is not the only actor returning to the NCIS universe, although he will be in front of the camera. His co-star Daniela Ruah is set to direct an episode of NCIS and NCIS: Hawaii.
