No, Bluey is NOT over! Bluey season 4 is on the works

I'm sure most parents can agree that there are not many shows or cartoons we are willing to watch with our kiddos. Bluey on Disney+, however, is always welcomed on our screens! This is why we are super excited the animated series is not over.

Not only is Bluey a wholesome cartoon that never misses with lessons of friendship, love, life, and more, but it also includes the parents (or the guardian watching). From references to Stranger Things to sneaky jokes meant for the grownups, Bluey keeps parents entertained. As a mom, I also love how the episodes are bite-size, running only about seven minutes. This is the perfect length for the attention span of most children. It also works for parents because we can comfortably allow our kid to watch an episode or two without feeling guilty that they are on the screen for a long time.

On Sunday, April 14, however, Bluey released a 28-minute episode called "The Sign." And guys? It is a wonderful, beautiful episode! If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it! Put it on your to-watch list for after school ASAP.

Bluey season 4 is happening!

Since Bluey episodes are all seven minutes in length, an 28 minute episode is like a movie. And when TV shows get a movie special, it almost always means it's the end of the series. This is why parents (more so than children, who don't understand how the entertainment industry works) worried about Bluey's future. Because we can't lose Bluey and Bingo! There aren't many good ones left, after all.

Luckily, the BBC was quick to silence the rumors, sharing that there are definitely still plans for a fourth season. According to the source, Sam Moor, one of the producers for Bluey, reassured fans that the special "The Sign" is not the end. Moor teased, "we have many more surprises in store..."

How very exciting! Even though we are not sure when it will premiere, it's great to know that season 4 is happening. But also, since the producer shares that there are "many more" surprises, it sounds to me like there's more to it. Perhaps "The Sign" is not the only special we'll be getting from the animated series. Of course, as soon as we learn more details about these surprises, we'll update this post!
