Is Severide's job on the line in Chicago Fire?

Chief Dom Pascal is dismissing someone from Firehouse 51 in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 3. Could that be Severide?

A lot went down in the second hour of Chicago Fire season 13. With Damon potentially putting Kidd and Severide at odds, Cruz was the one to step in and call Severide out on his actions. He understood why Severide was helping Damon out, but he also knew that Severide needed to stop.

By the end of the hour, Severide owned up to what he was doing and took accountability. He ended the episode telling Damon that one of them had to go. When the promo then showed Pascal dismissing someone from the firehouse, fans immediately worried that it would be Severide.

Someone has lied to Pascal in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 3

In the promo, Pascal is angry that someone has lied to him. We know that Severide is guilty of lying. In the premiere episode, Pascal wasn’t happy that he and Kidd were together and working in the same firehouse. That goes against regulations, although Boden always knew about it and never had a concern. That’s because Severide and Kidd were able to keep their working lives separate from their personal lives.

Severide should have used this time to admit that he also had a half-brother in the firehouse. Pascal’s words had come off the back of Severide stopping on a call when Damon was hurt. It was clear that Severide ran the risk of putting himself in danger for Damon at that point.

So, has Pascal found out the truth? After all, Severide will need to explain the situation to Pascal about why either he or Damon needs to transfer.

It looks like Damon will be the one to go in Chicago Fire

We don’t get a clear look of who Pascal is talking to in his office. However, I don’t think that it’s Severide. There’s a slight view of the back of someone, and it looks like either Kidd or Damon. At this point, Kidd hasn’t done anything that warrants her being fired. She hasn’t lied to Pascal.

So, my money is on Damon being the one to be fired. I’m assuming that something comes up and Damon has a chance to be honest with Pascal about his connection to Severide. Or we could see Kidd decide to talk to Pascal about Damon admitting that he ignored orders. This could lead to Pascal being angry that he’s lied, leading to him being dismissed from the firehouse.
