There's a reason why the Super Bowl charges a pretty penny for a spot in their commercials! Whether you watched the event to cheer on one of the teams, for the Halftime Show, or because you're a Swiftie, the Super Bowl is one of the biggest events in sports history. Even movie fans have reason to watch -- for the movie trailer premieres!

If you missed a trailer or two over the excitement of the game (or you ran for a quick bathroom break), we've got your back! We rank the best movie trailers that dropped during the Super Bowl.

It was movie trailer galore during the Super Bowl! Well, at least during the first half. From a new look into A Quiet Place: Day One to the magical world of Wicked, there are so many movies to look forward to this summer! before we highlight our top six movie trailers, some honorable mentions are: Despicable Me 4, Kung Fu Panda 4, Monkey Man, and IF.

1. A Quiet Place: Day One

We're ranking the Big Game Spot trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One at the very top! The trailer gave us a better look at what to expect. The creatures are the same from the first two A Quiet Place movies, but this time, the story takes place in New York. Now, the big city is known for many things, such as magical and bright. However, it's also known as a loud city, and a loud place is not where you want to be when the invasion strikes. In case you forgot, the creatures may not be able to see, but their hearing is on point. This is how they hunt and kill, they rely on sound.

In the trailer (which you can check out above) features Lupita Nyong'o, and she is no stranger to starring in horror pictures. From the title, Day One, we know that the story will start on the first day of the invasion. A Quiet Place: Day One also stars Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou. The movie will premiere in theaters this summer on June 28. As for when the movie will be released on streaming, we're not sure! However, the first two movies are streaming on Paramoun+, so this is the platform the movie will more than likely go to after leaving the big screen.

2. Deadpool & Wolverine

We've been waiting for Deadpool and Wolverine to get their time on the big screen together. And, finally, just as most of us were hoping the trailer dropped during the Super Bowl and it is more than we can ask for. Deadpool & Wolverine is the third movie in the Deadpool franchise, but the first that will see Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman team up and the iconic Marvel heroes. One reason we're super excited is also because Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine after "retiring" from playing character after Logan.

The trailer mostly features Deadpool, teasing the plot as we learn what Wade Wilson has been up to all this time. It's not until the last few seconds of the trailer that we see Wolverine's unmistakable shadow over Deadpool. And if it wasn't obvious to viewers that this is really Jackman's popular character, the retractable claws should do the trick! Unfortunately, we don't Wolverine doesn't speak in the trailer. But hey, we'll take what we can get!

Deadpool & Wolverine also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney and others. The movie premieres in theaters on July 26, 2024. No streaming release date has been announced, but since the first two Deadpool movies are currently available on Disney+, this is where we expect to see it after theaters.

3. The Fall Guy

It's always a joy seeing Ryan Gosling on the big screen! Whether the actor plays Ken or a far more serious character, Gosling gives it his all! In Fall Guy, Gosling plays a character that is...somewhere in the middle! Gosling plays Colt Seavers, a stuntman who reluctantly takes on the lead role to help his ex-girlfriend's (portrayed by Emily Blunt) movie.

It is safe to say that Colt is all about action, being a stuntman and all, but there's a sensitive side to him, too! In the trailer, Colt is crying in the car listening to "All Too Well" by Taylor Swift. The Fall Guy also stars Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham, and Stephanie Hsu. See it in theaters on May 3, 2024.

4. Twisters

I'll be the first to admit that, when I first learned Twisters was in the works, I was not very excited. Make no mistake, though, I was still planning on watching the movie. I support anything Glen Powell is part of! However, this trailer changed my mind completely. The movie looks great! Not only does it look exciting, but I love the different take on the 1996 hit original movie.

Twisters will see brave storm chasers running towards (and sometimes running from) multiple twisters. The movie also stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, and others. Join the storm chase on July 19, only in theaters. As soon as we learn where the movie will stream, we'll update this post!

5. Wicked

Wicked looks like a lot of fun! The trailer features colorful costumes and a beautiful setting. More than anything, the trailer is magical! This is definitely what fans were hoping to see from the trailer. The upcoming movie is directed by Jon M. Chu, who also directed In the Heights, so the musical will be great! Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo.

Fans may think they know the story, but not all of it! And definitely not the backstory to two very important characters in The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. That's right, Wicked will be taking audiences to the past. Erivo and Grande will play young versions of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. The story will be told in two parts, the first will arrive to theaters towards the end of 2024 in Nov. 27, but Part Two won't be released until Nov. 26, 2025.

6. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Listen, it's not that I'm not happy about another Planet of the Apes movie, it's just that I don't feel like we needed another movie in this franchise. I'm ready for new features, such as Wicked, The Fall Guy, and, well, all other movies on this list! But hey, the trailer is still pretty exciting. I'm sure super fans are looking forward to it.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes place decades after Caesar's reign. The world now belongs to the apes; humans are the minority and forced to live in the shadows. The movie stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. Watch Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is in theaters May 24. We'll update this post as soon as we know where the movie will stream after theaters!

How would you rank these movie trailers? Which movie are you the most excited to watch?
